Baking.
I have decided to give a go a baking a birthday cake for Jack on sunday – doing a trial run today to see how easy it is – and I have to confess that so far its looking good. Just making a basis victoria sponge cake for the time being as its really only going to be the adults who will be eating it, Jack is kinda turning into a fussy eater already! lol
So far I have the butter cream made – which is yummy to say the least, and the sponges seem to be looking good – got them cooling the now =)
Not sure how to decorate the top, just go for icing sugar and icing lettering or try something more “fun”. Will have a wee think and see what I can come up with.
I am so in the mood to bake as well! But our oven doesn’t work. It makes me sad!
I absolutely love to bake! How did your cake go?
Our oven is electric so it’s really difficult to bake anything evenly without drying it out and changing the texture of it.
For future ref. you should check youtube for decorative tips and tricks! There are quite a few amazing decorating videos up there. 🙂
