16 weeks

How far along: 16 wks 3 day

Baby vs food: Avocado
Baby is measuring 4 inches this week.

How’s mum?: Tired but other wise fine 🙂

Any cravings?: still not got any per say.

Bump?: Ever so slightly growing yay!

Movement? Yes! This week been feeling little flutters always around 6pm at night 🙂 yay.

 

Had my 16 week check up at the midwife today – she was a total numpty! Seriously she wasn’t organised in the slightest, I had to get bloods taken for the screen of Downs and Spina Bifida and she didn’t even know if she has the right kinda blood bottle that was required for that test. She eventually found on, only to discover that she didn’t have a tourneque so she had to improvise using a bloody rubber glove!

Then despite telling her my right arm was the best for blood she decided to go in for the kill on my left arm,….. erm hello she couldn’t get a vain there ( due to stupid rubber glove) surprise surpise I did tell her…. in and out then she decided to try the right and got it first time.

Was bloody sore and I never normally complaing getting blood taken! She then left me without a plaster to bleed all over the place. I had to ask for one.

Seriously hope I don’t get her again over the course of this pregnancy.

On the plus side I did get to hear the little ones heart beat and it was a strong one 🙂 So chuffed to hear it – it is the best sound ever!
