Usually you only see one of these things if you are in the hospital, usually during/after an operation – I have been hooked up to a pulse oximeter each time I had my c-sections so I kinda knew what to expect from this.
For those that haven’t experienced on before the MeasuPro Instant Read Pulse Oximeter provides accurate information about your blood oxygen saturation levels and pulse rate. This is a great little device if you want to keep an eye on your saturation levels be it for health reasons or if for fitness reasons. I have just started getting into fitness and one of my goals is to start running this year and take part in a race, and I can see this being a very handy thing to have.
It comes with a handy little storage pouch and lanyard as well as 2 AA batteries. Not a lot things with batteries included so this is a bonus in my eye. It is really simple to set up just pop in the batteries and away you go.
To get a reading, you simply place your fingertip inside the device which has a comfortable, durable cushion. It really is comfortable! After a few seconds it will register your pulse oxygen saturation – mine was 96% and your pulse rate (PRbpm) mine was a whopping 98 – I had just come out the shower so was roasting a time of doing this!
Now if you don’t have any medical background you would need to Google to see what the meaning of these results are – that is the only downside to this, there were no indication what the normal ranges were.
The blue OLED display is really easy to read and you set it to be read left or right.
I am really happy with this little device it is easy to store and as you can see with the lanyard easy to wear if you needed to check regular saturation.
You can purchase MeasuPro OX100 Instant Read Pulse Oximeter from Amazon rrp is £44.99 but at time of posting is is ccurrently £29.95.
