The chicken pox
My poor wee man!
He got the chicken pox last week, Halloween to be exact 🙁 I had been a long time coming to be honest as he has missed every outbreak since he started nursery at over 1 year old.
The pic we taken on Monday there, and that is pretty much the extent of the spots he got, pretty mild all things considered.
I went to the Dr last Fri who confirmed it was the pox, and that in about 10/21 days Max will get it ( just in time for his 1st birthday I bet!) Will be good in a way if he does get it now, means it’s all over and done with – I know you can get more than once, but never heard of anyone who has.
And from my perspective being pregnant I am ok as I have already had them so thank goodness, as it would involve blood tests etc..
So after a week ny wee man is on the mend, all the blisters have burst and now scabbed over, so he will be back to nursery next week!
Awe man, I hope your little guy is feeling better real soon (or already is feeling better)! I had the pox when I was a kid, as well, I don’t really remember what they felt like, though.
I’ve also never heard of anyone who has gotten them twice in their life, so it’s probably a rare situation that it would happen like that.
I got it twice, I got it as a toddler with minimal spots and low grade fevers and I got it again in 2nd grade with high fever and a flu bug on top of it. It sucked!
